The Kisedet project was born in Kigwe Village in 1998 and was registered in 1999 as a non- governmental organization in the form of a trustee. In January 2006 the Kisedet changed its constitution in order to be able to welcome new members, and since May, 7, 2007 it has been registered as NGO (and no longer as a trustee) with N. 1802. The aim of the Organization is to help orphan children, disabled children or coming from the poorest families of the Dodoma rural region. This aim should be reached through the realization of some activities which encourage school learning and improve life conditions of the children and their families. This is the main project, around which Kisedet builds all the other activities. Kisedet covers all the school costs (uniform, inscription fees, school material, etc) and tries to promote small economical activities to help the children’s families.
