Gruppo Tanzania was formed to support Giovanna Moretti and her friends who went to Tanzania, exactly in Kigwe ( See Kisedet history). At first GRUPPO TANZANIA raised money by selling homemade cakes and pies by very kind ladies who used their baking ability to help the Tanzanian children!!! Moreover, money was raised by selling Tanzanian handcrafts that Giovanna, Claudio, Ezio and so on broght back from their journeys in Africa.

They also set up lotteries and village festivals.

As KISEDT grew, so did GRUPPO TANZANIA not to remain a small village association and so they became a NO-PROFIT Association (ONLUS)

 

Charter members: Giovanna Moretti, Claudio Moro, Ester Moretti, Ari Antonella, Ezio Terzi, Elena Medici, Federico Ghisletti, Giovanni Iannaccio, Manuela Carlessi, Marina Farinella, Franco Leoni, Alessia, Beatrice and many others not mentioned here (and we apologize for that) but that we remember with gratitude.

 

In 2010 there were the last elections. Former president Giovanni Iannaccio, Present  President Claudio Pilenghi, former deputy President Elena Medici, Present Deputy President Roberta Bartoloni, former secretary Ester Moretti, present Secretary Betta Dessy.
